- Even a consenting absentee might have participated in the country’s development in another way.
- This is a form of ad hominem.
- Good criticisms can come from any person. Filtering them out merely based on whether the speaker has voted or not is not a good idea, for the government’s sake.
- You can just protest if you’d like.
Anybody desires to enlighten me? Otherwise I will stick to the idea that every citizen has the right to abstain. 😎
 Just to make it clear, I think there is a consensus (at least in my home country) that an absentee has no right to protest the government, since s/he does not participate in the election(?). “Orang golput wajib diam“, white voters must keep silent, they say.
 For an extreme example, consider all candidates in presidential and parliamentary elections abstaining. What should happen? 😀
