Anime-wise, I am not a fan of mainstream titles such as Naruto, K-On, Bleach etc, so I was not that enthusiastic when I heard that the Anime Festival Asia was going to be held for the second time, here in Singapore. However, it was a good chance to meet my fellow bloggers who are coincidently also anime fans. And I met them, Grace and disc-co! After a rendezvous with *** ******** aka Gentole aka Ali Sastro last March, it was my second kopdar1 (of course, excluding people that I met physically first before knowing that they had blogs, like Zamroni and Joe Satrianto).
And Danny Choo, a renowned blogger, who resides in Japan and whose blog covers anime subculture, was also there, wearing his signature costume, imperial troop from Star Wars.
BTW, I was tempted to buy an Airi T-shirt, but it cost SGD 45. So expensive leh.
1Kopdar, abbreviation of kopi darat, literally means “land coffee” (or “land copy”? Thanks to Ando-kun’s suggestion), but here it refers to face-to-face meeting among people who get to know each other from the internet. I don’t know the origin of the idiom.
